Era Training Center is a new 7,694-square-foot facility is located at the Lake Charles Regional Airport near the Era Helicopters’ headquarters in Southwest Louisiana. At the heart of the facility are two new state-of-the art helicopter flight-training devices (FTDs) manufactured specifically for the Center by Frasca International. The Center also includes the finest in high-tech classrooms, custom briefing areas, administrative offices, and amenities.

To this end, the new Era Training Center celebrated its Grand Opening on June 5, 2008. This high-tech facility provides the highest quality helicopter training services for industry-wide safety and excellence. Our years of experience in the field make us the experts for specialty mission specific training programs on our two brand new, state-of-the-art FTDs.

We offer a wide range of courses to hone the skills of helicopter pilots to the specific aircraft and missions, e.g. offshore and EMS, with data developed in the field by professional pilots with years of experience. The Era Training Center then let’s you back up your FTD training with real-time training using Era’s diverse fleet of aircraft at the nearby headquarters.

Era Training Center LLC Announces Agreement with AgustaWestland for Two AW139 Flight Simulator Training Devices
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Era Training Center LLC (Era Training Center) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with AgustaWestland for the construction of two AW139 Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs). Era Training Center Selects Frasca for S76 FSTD
Frasca International, Urbana, IL and Era Training Center (ETC), Lake Charles, LA have entered into an agreement for Frasca to design and build a Sikorsky S76 C++ Level 6 Helicopter Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD). The FSTD will be an exact replica of the Sikorsky S76 C++ Helicopter featuring Frasca’s latest technology including a TruVision™ Global visual system with an extensive, highly detailed database, electronic cockpit displays, flight test validation data, blade element modeling, automatic certification testing, exact cockpit replication, electric control loading and multi-channel sound simulation.

USAIG and ERA Announce Era Training Center as Approved “Safety Buck” Training Facility
United States Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG) and Era Training Center LLC (Era Training Center) of Lake Charles, Louisiana announced today the addition of the Era Training Center as an approved source for Eurocopter AS350 and EC135 training. The approval will permit operators of AS350 and EC135 helicopters to use their USAIG “Safety Bucks” at the Era Training Center located at the Lake Charles Regional Airport beginning April 1, 2009.

Era Training Center LLC Announces Second Qualified CFR Part 60 Level 6 Flight Training Device
Era Training Center LLC (Era Training Center) announced today that it has obtained CFR part 60 Level 6 qualification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its AS350 B2 Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD). The AS350 FSTD, built by Frasca International, Inc. (Frasca), offers an exact cockpit replication. This is the second advanced Level 6 FSTD acquired by the Center, with the earlier 2008 qualification this year of its EC-135 CPDS P2+.

Frasca International to Exhibit EC-135 Flight Training Device at HELI-EXPO
Frasca International, Inc. (Frasca), announced today that it will exhibit a Eurocopter EC-135 Level 6 Flight Training Device (FTD) at the Heli-Expo show (February 24-26, Houston, TX). The FTD will be on display in the Frasca booth (#3749) and will feature Frasca's TruVision Global visual system in a 200 degree display dome. The unit was built for Era Training and will be delivered to their new Training Center in Lake Charles, LA following the show.
